Chemical Peels

Chemical peels use professional-grade acids to exfoliate the skin’s surface, remove dead cells, and stimulate new cell turnover.

At Shak Smith Aesthetics, we use customised peel protocols to treat:

  • Dullness & congestion

  • Pigmentation & uneven tone

  • Acne & acne scarring

  • Early signs of ageing

  • Dehydrated or tired-looking skin

These aren’t harsh or one-size-fits-all. We tailor every peel to your skin type, tone, and goals — with minimal downtime and real results.

  • Want to brighten dull or uneven skin

What to Expect

Consultation:
We’ll assess your skin type and goals, then select the right peel strength and formula (e.g. glycolic, lactic, salicylic, mandelic).

Treatment:
Your skin is prepped, the peel is applied for a specific time, and then neutralised. You may feel tingling or warmth.

Aftercare:
You’ll be given a post-peel kit and advice. Peeling is usually minimal and occurs around days 2–4 depending on the peel strength.

  • Results build with each session

→ Yes — you may be slightly flushed or dry, but you can return to normal activities immediately.

  • Can I wear makeup?
→ Best to wait 24–48 hours and follow the aftercare advice for best results.
